From sea to shining sea... by ISeeTheLattice From sea to shining sea... by ISeeTheLattice
Have you figured me out yet?

I'm just like you...
I look out for others,
I look out for my own.

Ideally I would like to live beyond the dictims and politics of a state,
But even still... I have always loved my country, even if it hates me.

I believe that everyone deserves a chance, and the benefit of the doubt.
But I hold no illusions that an overwhelming benefit for the many wouldn't come to the detriment of a few in however a way...
And for whomever belongs to this oppressed latter,
it may be surprising to know that they may not always be the ones we'd expect to bear having to deal with it.

I am an American...
But it is my personal belief that my potential in life should never have to be constrained by the eb and flow of an ever-changing standard here,
And thus I believe it wrong when others would say that I must be remain here to be subjected to the numbing mediocrity expected of the rest...
When indeed I may attain that maximal potential whilst seeking better pastures elsewhere.

Even still... I will always believe in this very American credo;

Life,
Liberty,
And the pursuit of happiness. :aww:

I feel so strangely patriotic now after writing all of that [link] lol:salute::iconexplodelaplz:

I love America but abhor every war the US governments have brought us into since the end of WWII, cause that's not the America that my ancestor William Polk fought for, neither was it the America that George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, James Monroe, and Ethan Allen fight for. Nor was that the America that the following generations of American hero's like Susan B Anthony, Henry David Thoreau, William Seward, Abraham Lincoln, Eugene Debs, Upton Sinclair, and Martin Luther King Jr stand for.

Sure, no question that in past USA had nice ideals, but we are currently in present. There's written : I like having me freedom,  I like having my choice.
So how did you proud citizen used this blessings?

Lets see statistics:
1. Biggest polluters: China emits about 6,018 million tons of greenhouse gases per year.  2: The United States is a close second with 5,903 tons.

List of countries by number of military/soldiers : 1.China: 2,285,000 2. United States of America: 1,429,995

Now lets see, China Population:1. 1,344,130,000 2. USA Populatin: 316,577,000
So can you see the difference?

Pardon me, but should I take your comment as cynical?

And as an American to an American, are you really going to pass down judgement to me pertaining to my intellectual capacity and moral character?

You better not.
I don't try bud. I do.
Theres a difference.

Boy you rang up the wrong number tonight smartass.

I've never been simple, you cannot fathom within the space of years just how much I can articulate my vernacular to get my points across.

And as a narcissistic stranger nobody who suddenly drops in and tells ME his two cents of what you'd like to unload upon the whole of our society in your writhing and blithering fit of selfrightous BULLSHIT, I'll gladly leave you off with this;

Fuck off idiot!

Well hey I've never even thought about that before.
Same over here with the PM, we voted in a guy we spent years complaining about, and now the guy I wanted to be PM is dead :(

Heh... complaining.

I think that people will always complain down here...
It's the nature of our entitlement complex. t___t

I'm tired of complaining... but I'm also tired of the prospect of having my fate dictated by others who cannot learn from history's past mistakes.

I'll patronize many a country who would allow me the dignity of a chance at living for the sake of itself... and allow me the peace of retaining a shread of my humanity.

But eghghh... can't talk about that in detail here. <___< >___>

You live in Canada I see... many people in many countries these days would eventually take for granted the places they live in.
I ask you... never forsake Canada. At least you're not here.

Everyone complains everywhere. Even here in Canada we have complainers, I think I'm entitled to certain things just as much as the next person. I haven't been in the States enough to really compare it, but I think that we are a lot the same as you guys, we just keep it to ourselves. I may be completely wrong on that one though.

Mm well what can you do when you have an idiot vs the other guy?

Why not? If you'd like to discuss it you can note me, I wouldn't mind hearing what you have to say.

Dude, I don't forsake Canada. I know I live in the best country there is (shamelessly patriotic for all of three seconds). At least I'm not ANYWHERE else. Sometimes I wish there was somewhere else to go, but when it comes right down to it, for now, Canada is the best place to be.

you could have voted for an independent candidate, like this the narrow cycle of two party system will go on an on and soon you this freedom you cherish shall be taken away from you. IMHO

Hmmm... an often cited claim.

But what purpose does a so-called independant voice really serve in politics for the people's sake if in the end most of the time they just end up taking campaign funds and running when the election they never intended to win is over.

No... I'm just tired of this whacky lala land dynamic all around really.
