Originally, this was going to consist of 6 frames up into space...
but thanks to the carried-over light pollution from the clouds rolling in from Syracuse 30km away, apparently that was not going to happen tonight.
Still... I am very satisfied with how this panoramic stitch turned out.
To me, the composition mirrors a strong resemblance to the old square 120mm medium-format film Hasselblad images... which in a color and resolution context, is excellent!
So in the end, I didn't even bother with changing the color of the sky in editing here.
Even though an orange sky may be "meh" in many circumstances,
for once I really, really liked the simplicity of the initial vanilla color-scape...
and I carried this over relatively "as-is" into the finalized image.
